Job Overview
This position is r! esponsible for development of Globalized products with regards to world-readiness of the source-code. Educating different development teams to ensure Globalization and localizability issues are addressed early in the cycle. Provides analysis related to software selection, design and development.
Key Responsibilities
? Responsible for internationalization, localization and globalizing the product.
? Driving the upstream efforts with regards to world-readiness of the source-code.
? Analyzing the source code for the Globalization of product.
? Unit testing of product.
? Experience in international project/localization engineering with knowledge of development and localization processes, globalization & internationalization challenges.
? Externalizing hard-coded strings from software UI and creating RC files.
? Understanding of resource bundle creation (RC files) for translation.

Skills and Experience
? Hands-on experience in identif! ying, designing, developing & implementing process improvements.
? Expertise in Java/JSP/Struts/WebServices etc.
? Expertise in database software like Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, MySQL.
? Expertise in HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, XML.
? Knowledge of any localization tools for example Catalyst.
? Understanding of the development cycle.
? Working knowledge of cultural differences in information processing.
? Team player with interpersonal skills - working closely together with others, keeping them informed, knowledge sharing.
? Able to adopt effectively in situations involving uncertainty or lack of information.
? Problem-solving ability - gathering and analyzing information and using it to develop effective solutions to difficult problems or situations.
? Excellent command over written and spoken English.
? Knowledge of any of the following foreign languages is an added advantage: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, German, Frenc! h, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Korean.
